For group 0 you find it easily, costs cheap and becomes a fast dinner.
In supermarkets you always find fresh cow liver.

But group A also needs to have his moment with chicken liver, even this easily found in supermarkets.

On the side a salad for group 0.
Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots for group A, bought in a bag that goes in the microwave for 8 minutes.
And some maize/corn for group A.

Aperitivo

Ecco il nostro aperitivo: vino senza solfiti, salamino d'oca e olive verdi.

Cin cin!

---------------

This is our appetizer: wine without sulphites, goose salami and green olives.

Cheers!

-----------
Group A can’t eat goose but we tried it anyway. Yum, Yum! Really good!
Better than pork for sure.

A lot of people are allergic to sulphites. Those that have a sensible stomach will notice they digest these wines faster. And then it’s the sulphites that give you the headache of the morning after if you really want to exaggerate with the glasses.

Insalate/ Salads

- antiossidanti
  • vitamina E e C e beta carotene aiutano contro i radicali liberi

I like salads. I always did. When I was younger I used to add vinegar to them and then later on when I cut down the vinegar I added lemon juice.

They're good. They're fresh. They are also quick to prepare and so welcome during a hot summer day.

For me however they are constant, because your should eat veggies at every meal.
And they are also the cooking-only-for-myself meal. When my partner is not here I don't feel like cooking.

But let's just think about why salats are good for you...

- they have the fiber
  • which you need to lower blood cholesterol and normalize blood glucose and insuline levels - to get it even more clear: prevents diabetes and heart disease
  • also helps to regular bowel movements and prevents constipation
  • and we have the 'wild' ideas that if helps prevent colorectal cancer and breast cancer
- they have antioxidants
  • vitamin E and C and beta carotene help against free radicals
  • free radicals are odd groups of atoms that are formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules; when formed they can damange cells or cellular components, like DNA or cell membrane
  • the only defense the body has is the system of antioxidants
- low calories level
  • salads make you feel full, so if you want to lose weight eating them is a good idea

Always eat your veggies!

Pesce sulla grigla, marinato/ Hot-plate fish, marinated

Ciao!

Buon appetito e state molto attenti a cosa mangiate!

Hi, it's been a while!

I just have to say that the diet is going strong and I'm feeling wonderful.

A couple of days ago I did a dish I used to eat when I was young - only that back then vinegar was coming in plenty and so was garlic.
I cooked for my boyfriend as well so I had to find a type of fish that we can both eat, but don't worry the list isn't short - it all depends on the variety they have in your favorite supermarket.

For this recipe I suggest you use small to medium fish - think about size of your hot-plate and the size of the bowl you'll let it marinate in.

This recipe will get smelly and some smoke will rise. Be prepared with windows open and patience.

What you need:

hot-plate
large bowl
fish
2 tomatoes
garlic
parsley - fresh is better
laurel leaves, pepper (beans), salt

water, 1 and 1/2 cups, depends on the quantity of the fish
oil, 2-3 spoons
vinegar, 2-3 spoons

How you do it:

First you have to prepare the hot-plate by adding salt and browning it.
When the salt gets browny it means it hot enough to add the fish. Turn it on one side and then the other until it gets done. It will take some 20 minutes, and smoke will rise.
Be patient, it is worth it!

In a pot you put a cup and 1/2 water to boil and then you add the 2 tbs of oil, little salt and around 2 tbs of vinegar.
After a while you also add the pepper and laurel leaves.
It's all about how you like it so be sure to taste it! You can add more oil and more vinegar if your stomach can handle it.
Don't add too much salt because the fish will be salty already.

When the fish is almost done you can add the tomatoes and let them bake for a couple of minutes on the hot-plate.

When fish is done put it in a bowl; add the parley cut finely and the squashed garlic on the fish along with the baked tomatoes, then gently not to make them fall add the hot liquid.

Let them covered to rest for some 10 minutes and then serve!
If you can digest it try some polenta.

Now, before I wish you all Bon Appetit! remember to choose the fish well so that it's indicated for both blood types, if you can try a Chinese Vinegar (like I did, because with no vinegar it's not the same) and don't forget that type A cannot digest garlic and tomatoes.
So Group 0 add them in your own plate!

I suggest this recipe when you have guests over or for a meal out of the ordinary. It's delicious and your partner will appreciate it!

Bon Appetit! and be careful what you eat!

26 to 28 november/ 26 - 28 novembre

Poi ho messo tutto insieme e voilà!

Tutto molto buono e velocissimo.

26 to 28 november
Friday, 26 november - I made chicken with spinach.
Nothing complicated you might think. However, when I cook for myself I add garlic to the spinach, but I cooked for my boyfriend as well so I didn't add it.
It doesn't change much, it's better with but you can go without. I added curry to the spinach, I always do.
The chicken I cut in tiny pieces and I grilled it, because I add little to no oil to the pan when I fry. Your stomach will appreaciate it although you'll be washing that pan for a long time.
Then I mixed them all together and voilà!

Saturday, 27 novembre - I made soy pasta w/ vegetables and for dessert cooked apples and carrots.
The soy pasta I found in a supermarket, nothing special. Put it in cold water for 10 minutes then added it to the boiling vegetables.
The vegetables where: cabbage, squash, carrots.
It gets done quickly and it's really good. But it's imperative to add soy salsa.
For the dessert you cut the apples in tiny pieces and the carrots in slices, this way they get done faster. You put them in the oven and let them in for around 40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
You can also add eggs to the mix or flour (
rice, almond - if you have the coeliac disease).
Sunday, 28 november - I bought soya pieces and I prepared them w/ some fish and vegetables. The soya pieces are boiled in water for 10 minutes. They look like meat and they taste wonderful. After the first 10 minutes I added the vegetables (sliced carrots, squash, celery and some onion). I wanted a dish with no liquid so I left them to boil some good 20 minutes or more.
At the end I added the fish and you can add whatever spices you like.

------------------
If you're wondering why the lack of tomatoes and/or peppers - the answer is simple: the blood type A cannot eat them, although type 0 can.

saying hello

Ciao,

Hi,

I cook. I like it.

I think that everyone should cook and look after their well-being.

It's been 2 months since I've been introduced to "blood group diet".
It's a different new world.
You have to be more careful what you eat, although the complexity of your meals is reduced.
However you're always faced with the dilemma "again?" and that's when your list of possibilities grows short.

I love to cook and I'm not afraid to try new things.

My blood type is 0 (Landsteiner type) or I (Janský).
I also happen to cook for my boyfriend from time to time - his type is A (or 2).

And that's when the fun starts and I'll try to share it all here.
