Blocco dell'apparato digerente

We all know the stories of swallowed dimes, bubble gum, sweet corn and cellulose; and it's true they are hard to digest. At times you cannot go to the bathroom for days and you might experience tummy aches.
In most cases it comes and passes and none is the wiser; in serious cases however you have to visit a doctor.

In simple words, you ingest a 'material' that your digestive system cannot break in small pieces therefore it remains in your body for a period of time and then it exits.

This is how it works: you chew the food, the stomach grinds your food for hours into tiny pieces, in the small intestine get formed zones where the nutrients are absorbed and sends the fats, proteins and carbohydrates to the liver for further processing or storage. The last stop is the large bowel or colon - some minerals and water are absorbed before the rest goes out of the digestive system.
What remains are food particles that can't be absorbed.

So we take the example poorly cooked meat that even a none believer could agree with. Even the strongest of stomachs has problems digesting raw meat.
At that point your stomach is blocked and concentrates on breaking in small pieces the meat and everything else is delayed - you won't feel good, probably get headaches, you won't go to the bathroom and have tummy aches.

Getting back to out blood group diet, logic says the stomach must act the same with everything that shouldn't be in our diet and our bodies react differently depending on our resistance.
Group A has problems digesting meat, group 0 blocks the stomach with sweets, group B overreacts with the grains.

Let's not test it on ourselves and be very careful, perhaps even note down the 'strange' situations, and avoid them for a happier and healthier life!

Tisane

English version:

A couple of days ago I started my list of Xmas sweets and cookies. The almonds cake will be a must and I’ll help you prepare it in a future post.

But the cake, like all cakes, disappears in a second. You cut a piece for every member of your happy family and puf! already gone.

So I found these cookies made with rice and corn flour.
I made them round but for Christmas you can make them star, horse or bell shaped…
I found nice shapes at Coop.

Ingredients (around 60 cookies)
400 gr rice flour
300 gr corn flour
100 gr sugar
3 eggs
200 gr margarine
Salt
For decoration:  dried grapes or any decoration for cookies or you can make holes and put them in your Christmas tree.

Like always I bought the rice flour in a Chinese supermarket, there are a lot, don’t be afraid to try them. They have a lot of products for us and cheap.

Corn flour – yes, the one with which you make the polenta is great! Even the cheapest.

To cut off the round shape you can use a glass which you pass every now and then through the flour.
The mixture you’ll have is very manageable. If you think it’s too sticky add some more rice flour or corn flour.

Like always I’d like to remind you that group A cannot eat corn flour so don’t exaggerate.

Crepes

Una colazione veloce o un dessert buonissimo!

Ingredienti x 2 crepes:
farina di quinoa 2 cucchiai
aqua 100 ml
1 uova
olio

English version:

A fast breakfast or a yummy dessert!

Ingredients for 2 crepes:
Quinoa flour- 2 spoons
Water 100 ml
1 egg
Oil

You can use all the types of flour, I also tried with buckwheat flour. Only that for the buckwheat crepes you have to add 120ml water instead of 100ml.
With the quinoa flour I noticed that the mixture resembles more the grain one.

Buckwheat asks for more attention, unfortunately not all your crepes will be ‘pretty’.

The quinoa crepes can be eaten by group A,0 and B!

English version:

The liver is rich in Vitamin A and should be eaten once in a while.
For group 0 you find it easily, costs cheap and becomes a fast dinner.
In supermarkets you always find fresh cow liver.

But group A also needs to have his moment with chicken liver, even this easily found in supermarkets.

On the side a salad for group 0.
Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots for group A, bought in a bag that goes in the microwave for 8 minutes.
And some maize/corn for group A.

Aperitivo

Ecco il nostro aperitivo: vino senza solfiti, salamino d'oca e olive verdi.

Cin cin!

---------------

English version:

This is our appetizer: wine without sulphites, goose salami and green olives.

Cheers!

-----------
Group A can’t eat goose but we tried it anyway. Yum, Yum! Really good!
Better than pork for sure.

A lot of people are allergic to sulphites. Those that have a sensible stomach will notice they digest these wines faster. And then it’s the sulphites that give you the headache of the morning after if you really want to exaggerate with the glasses.
